Absolutely not! Beyond its unethical nature, writing for students could never produce their best application. Our students undertake a journey in which they find their best selves and articulate their values and the moments of their lives in their own inimitable voices. We would never deprive a student of that experience. Furthermore, if anyone recalls the Varsity Blues scandal, we know that doing work for students and prevaricating to colleges ultimately never ends well. When our students gain admission to top schools, they know they have truly earned their acceptance letters because every word of their applications was authentic to who they are. 

Yes! College admission statistics can be exceedingly daunting. The chatter of peers and parents makes it seem like everyone is applying with perfect grades and a long brag sheet of activities. Yet, schools want to know more because they evaluate applicants based on far more. Year after year, we’ve helped students surprise themselves with what they can do and where they can get admitted. While shrewd discernment has a part in our process, doubt and self-sabotage do not. As Shakespeare wrote, “Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.”

For sure. Many of our students attend the most competitive private schools in the country, including boarding schools, parochial schools, and single-sex schools. We understand that you are possibly in an environment where everyone wants to get into the same few colleges and class sizes are so small that you probably know exactly who your “competition” is for each college. We make it so that your applications are unique, which means they are beyond competition and comparison.
